Principal Consultant, Data 360 (Data Cloud)
Lead end-to-end Data 360 and Salesforce solutions, shape unified customer data, and guide enterprise clients from discovery through delivery at CloudMasonry.
About Us - CloudMasonry
CloudMasonry is a full-service Salesforce consultancy with multi-cloud expertise, serving enterprise clients through onshore, collaborative teams. Senior consultants shape the solution, and we were the first Salesforce consultancy to build AI into a complete delivery methodology, where it keeps requirements, documentation, and reporting moving so our teams spend more time with clients.
With offices in the US and UK, 65+ consultants holding 350+ Salesforce certifications, 559+ completed projects, a 4.9 CSAT, and an 89% repeat-client rate, CloudMasonry works with enterprise clients on their most complex Salesforce programs.
About the Role
The Principal Consultant, Data 360 is a hands-on, client-facing delivery role within CloudMasonry’s Data & AI Practice. You will design and build the data foundation our clients rely on: ingesting data from Salesforce and external systems, modeling it, resolving identities, and activating unified profiles and insights back into the applications and agents their teams use every day.
Your primary focus is Data 360, with the ability to also deliver on core Salesforce CRM. Data 360 work rarely lands on a clean org: unified profiles are built largely from Sales Cloud and Service Cloud data, activations are consumed back inside those clouds, and when a client asks why a record looks wrong, the answer is often in the CRM rather than the data platform. You will configure and troubleshoot Sales Cloud and Service Cloud yourself and advise on core object model and automation changes, and on blended engagements you may pick up CRM work directly.
This is a senior individual contributor position. You will own significant workstreams end to end, from requirements through configuration, testing, deployment, and client enablement. You will be the senior Data 360 voice on projects.
Success in this role means being comfortable with messy source data, unclear ownership, and clients who are still deciding what their data model should look like. You will bring an informed point of view, document decisions clearly, and diagnose root causes.
This role reports to the Data & AI Practice Lead and works closely with Solution Architects, Engagement Managers, and Project Leads on assigned engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Data 360 Implementation & Build
Configure data spaces, data streams, data lake and data model objects, transformations, and insights
Build ingestion pipelines from Salesforce and external systems into the Customer 360 model
Design and tune identity resolution rulesets, and validate unified profile output
Activate segments and insights to Marketing Cloud, core CRM, Agentforce, and other systems
Core Salesforce CRM
Configure and troubleshoot Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, including declarative automation
Advise on the core org changes Data 360 depends on, and take CRM workstreams when needed
Discovery & Design
Lead requirements and data discovery workshops with business and technical stakeholders
Produce source-to-target mappings, data models, identity resolution and functional designs
Advise on data governance, access control, consent handling, and consumption implications
Document data quality findings and recommend the permanent fix, not just a workaround
Client Delivery
Own delivery workstreams end-to-end in conjunction with a Project Manager: discovery, design, build, test, deploy, and hypercare
Communicate status, risks, and estimates, and raise risks early with the Engagement Manager
Run UAT and enable client admins to operate what we build
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience
5+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, with at least 2 years implementing Data 360 (Data Cloud)
At least two full-lifecycle Data 360 implementations delivered in a client-facing or internal-customer-facing role, from discovery through production
Demonstrated ownership of identity resolution design on a real implementation
Consulting experience strongly preferred; systems integrator or agency background is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field, or equivalent applicable work experience
Data 360 Platform Expertise
Deep working knowledge of the Data 360 architecture: data spaces, data streams, data lake objects, data model objects, and the Customer 360 data model
Practical command of identity resolution: match rules, reconciliation rules, unified individual output, and how to debug a ruleset that is over- or under-matching
Segmentation, calculated insights, streaming insights, and activation targets including Marketing Cloud, core CRM, and Agentforce
Data transformations, both batch and streaming, and when each is appropriate
Data 360 connectors and ingestion patterns, including the Salesforce CRM connector, cloud storage, MuleSoft, and Ingestion API
Experience with zero-copy data sharing to and from Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, or other similar platforms
Strong SQL, including the ability to write and tune the queries behind calculated insights and transformations
Hands-on Sales Cloud and Service Cloud configuration experience, including object model design, permissions and sharing, and declarative automation (Flow, validation rules, permission sets)
Familiarity with Agentforce and how grounding an agent in Data 360 data works in practice is a plus
Experience with Tableau, Tableau Next, or CRM Analytics on top of Data 360 is a plus
Exposure to data migration and ETL tooling (MuleSoft, Informatica, Fivetran, dbt, or similar) is a plus
Delivery & Consulting Skills
Comfortable with the full range of project documentation, including business process documentation, requirements definition, configuration workbooks, data models, and detailed functional designs
Working fluency with Scrum or Agile delivery and with project management constructs such as RAID logs and RACI matrices
Sets and meets commitments, flags risk early, and proposes a mitigation rather than just the problem
Handles client disagreement directly and professionally, including telling a client when the thing they asked for is the wrong answer
High degree of self-management; able to run a workstream without daily direction
Communication
Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to write client-ready documents and lead workshops
Able to adjust register for the audience: technical depth with data engineers and admins, business framing with leaders
Explains data concepts in plain English without either oversimplifying or hiding behind jargon
Comfortable representing CloudMasonry in client and partner settings
